Hadley Hillel grew up in Seattle and made his first short film at the age of 7. After completing his film studies at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, Hadley moved to LA and has written and directed over 20 short films that have been shown in 55 national and international film festivals, won more than 40 jury and audience awards and most recently earned him the ‘Directing for Drama’ Student Emmy at the College Television Awards 2017 as well as a nomination for Best Drama Series at the College Television Awards 2019.
A lover of magical realism, surreal fantasy worlds and anything involving carnivorous plants, Hadley’s films often explore loss, grief and the dark side of family relationships through a twisted darkly comedic lens. He is currently in the process of writing his first feature, MIRROR, a psychological fantasy thriller based on his 2017 short of the same name and also has a number of other projects in development.
