After its world premiere at NFFTY 2015 (National Film Festival for Talented Youth), BEST EFFORTS was recently accepted to Four River Film Festival 2015 in Karlovac, Croatia, CineYouth 2015 presented by the Chicago International Film Festival and the Great Worqs Short Film Competition (Spring 2015).
The film was awarded four awards at the Four River Film Festival: Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Fiction Film and the Audience Award for the festival. Hadley able to attend the festival once again this year and was there to receive the awards.
BEST EFFORTS also won the Best Comedy Award at CineYouth 2015. In addition, the film was chosen as the sole winner of the Great Worqs Short Film Competition (Spring 2015) based out of London, England, marking the fifth international award for the film.
The Great Worqs Short Film Competition uses the Great Worqs website, a platform created to "connect creatives for free and allow them to showcase their content easily", to showcase the chosen short films. Renowned screenwriter Dean Craig, writer of both the British and American version of Death at a Funeral, was the judge at this year's festival and chose BEST EFFORTS as the winning film. Hadley also received
a cash prize of £100 to put towards his next film.
